Our Team

Bob Thomas, CPA, CA, CFP operates Fraser Financial – Kamloops.  The son of a bank manager, Bob calls several B.C. locations (including Kamloops) his former home.  After obtaining his Bachelor of Business Administration at Simon Fraser University in 1989, he received his CA designation in 1992 with a national accounting firm.  In 1995, Bob left public accounting and was fortunate to return to Kamloops, accepting a position with Weyerhaeuser Canada as their Income Tax Manager. During his time at Weyerhaeuser, Bob had the opportunity to work on many aspects of Weyerhaeuser benefit plans and is very familiar with these plans. Realizing his true interests were in the area of financial planning, Bob left Weyerhaeuser to join what is now Fraser Financial - Kamloops at the end of 2000.

In November 2000 Bob challenged and passed the professional proficiency examination, and received his Certified Financial Planner designation shortly thereafter.  Bob earned the prestigious Award of Excellence in 2000 for outstanding academic achievement in the Canadian Securities Course. This award is presented annually by the Canadian Securities Institute to individuals who earn a grade that falls in the top one percent from a field that includes thousands of students across Canada.

Bob resides in Kamloops with his wife Linda, a school teacher, and their children Cameron and Rebecca, as well as their Golden Retriever, Clifford.

Matthew was born and raised in Kamloops. He joined the team at Fraser Financial - Kamloops in September 2015. He brings with him many years of experience from a family business where workmanship and customer service were a top priority.

In 2018 Matthew wrote his final exam and achieved his Certified Financial Planner designation.

In his spare time, he enjoys his motorcycle and garden in the summer and being outdoors year round. He enjoys helping clients with getting started on the basics of investing through budgets and savings, to creating retirement plans and income streams for retirement. Life insurance and other living benefits are also a priority to helping his clients have a well-rounded financial plan.

Trish Meacher joined Fraser Financial - Kamloops as executive assistant to Bob Thomas in early 2006. Trish has worked in the financial services industry for the last 14 years and has successfully completed the Mutual Fund course and achieved her Level II life insurance license. She enjoys working closely with clients and looks forward to expanding her financial knowledge through ongoing education.

She resides in Kamloops with her husband Chuck and three children, Symmone, Rio and Pyper along with their dog Mocha.
